Thank you Sarah for your advice! I already have a copy of his death certificate. It states he was born in "Elyna, OH". When I looked for the name "Elyna", I came up with nothing. I decided that the "n" should have been an "ri". I also have the memorial book from his funeral which states his place of birth as "Elyria". What I am hoping to find on his birth certificate is his father's name and place of birth (not given on his death certificate). With this information I then can continue to trace my PIERCE family. Without it, I am stuck. Any additional ideas, resources,........? I would appreciate ANY advice!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
