    1. [OHLORAIN] Death records in Lorain County
    2. W. D. Smith
    3. When did Lorain County first begin keeping death records? I have found Augusta Schmidt/Smith in hh of son John Smith in Lorain in 1930. Not sure if Lorain County has a cemetary book or not. Her husband was Wilhelm/William Schmidt/Smith, born about 1866 in Germany, apparently died before 1910 near Lorain. Children given in 1900 census: William born August 1885 (per census) Could be my grandfather, born August 17, 1889 per his World War One draft registration. John born 1866 Clara born 1890 Florence born 1892 If there is a cemetery book for Lorain County, I would love to see if these folks are listed. If so, I need to know how to apply for copies of death certificates as well. Thanks, Will
