Nancy, Thank you so much for the information. My father said that Leo went by Romy (pronounced rome-y). He is not a reliable resource for me anymore, but parts of what he says I find to be true. He didn't recognize the address of the motor company for example, but the home address was right. Then he went on to say they had two daughters, but he doesn't remember their names. He didn't remember "Lilian" as his wife, and she was his mother's first cousin. It is hard enough to piece these bits of information together when you have 100% brain power, let along mis-information along the way. The sad part is, we are all headed for that someday and I try my best to be patient with him. He did tell me that Leo (Romy) was taken to the Toledo Mental Hospital after trying to pick up (or push up) a horse that fell into a ditch. This happened sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's. Was there any mention of this? Shirley Nancy Meyers <[email protected]> wrote: Listers, Guess that I am so used to spellling my own name as Meyers, that I added an "s" to Leo & Lilian's last name. Hi, its me again. The Eastern Heights address was their old address. I know that for a fact. I was in the Troxel house with Bud Meyers their youngest son. When they moved I don't know, but I know for a fact because I was there. I doubt the story about Leo,but I have no proof. I moved away in 1953. I know that Mrs. died when I was Living in Elyria,It was some time between 1946 and 1953. She went to the hospital for a exam as an out patient and they gave he barium. She was in a hurry to leave the hospital to go to some social meeting that afternoon. the hospital told her to take a laxative when she got home, but she didn't do that. Anyway that is what brought about he demise. I was driving my Dad's 37 Chevy and Bud told me he would talk to his dad and see what kind of a deal he could get me. I think this was 1939.
