Researchers, There are some of us left who were privileged to know the late Dorthy A. GRUNDY, born 1908. She was a special and gracious lady and a long-time genealogist & Chapter member who died 5 September 1993. As she aged, becoming weak and frail, I often would meet her at the courthouse just to lift & move those huge heavy volumes of records for her so that she could carefully read them. Also took her to LDS & WRHS libraries. She was the widow of Leman GRUNDY who was a grandson of Grantham GRUNDY. Dorothy had collected an almost complete record of the GRUNDY & REDMAN families. Grantham Grundy arrived from England about 1854, settled in Brownhelm in 1857. His son Charles was born in So.Amherst in 1864, he wed Eliza Jane Dyer of Wellington. Their son Leman wed Dorothy Agnes SKIVER 1908-1993. The copies of her carefully documented papers are on file in the Hicks Library of the LCHS. ===== Nancy M.
