Hi Deb, I don't know if this will help at all, but there were some from the Wellington area who belonged to the German Baptist Brethren (I think all of the Brethren were German and a form of Baptist), although I don't know if they had a church actually in Wellington. I heard the headquarters was a seminary at nearby Ashland College and there was a German Baptist church also in part of Rochester that used to be part of Wellington just south of town. Possibly the Church of the Brethren would know -- I think there is a Brethren church on Lake Breeze Drive in Sheffield Lake also, and maybe they would know if there are archives, or you could call Ashland Theological Seminary at the college. I think they still exist. I've seen the names of Rochester Baptist in Wellington, Black River Church of the Brethren (Baptist) but that's near Penfield, Camden Baptist in Wellington, Wellington Free Will Baptist in Wellington, and First Baptist in Wellington -- possibly one of these is the church or was the church and it changed names? If it closed down, maybe the Brethren will be able to tell you.
