    3. Bud, More "footwork" for you to sort thru. There are records of many burials before 1899 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery. So I suggest,as a next step, to look at any surnames affiliated with Enoch Bateman's family by viewing: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/oh/lorain/cemeteries/ridgelawn/ Look at the records of any of those family plots where someone could have given a burial spot for Enoch. Also try looking at burials in the potter's field there, both by name and chronologically. Most cemeteries were using them at that time. By chance the Infirmary record should have read Elyria Twp Cem. instead of just Elyria Cem., I would also try the North Murray Ridge Cemetery by contacting for burial information contact: North Murray Ridge Cemetery, 328 Broad St, Elyria OH 44035, Cemetery Division, Stan, Supervisor, 440-322-3896 or contact [email protected] Marily Teyler has done extensive work on the North Murray Ridge Cem. To cover any other bases, I would also consider looking at any affiliated surnames at the Carlisle Twp Cem. just down the road from the Infirmary. To contact: South Murray Ridge Cemetery, Carlisle Road Department, 11969 Lagrange Rd, Lagrange OH 44050, 1-440-458-6688. Keep me posted if possible. > Hi Nancy Meyers, > As you probably remember you found that in the lists > you were abstracting Enoch Bateman is supposed to be > buried in the Elyria Ridgelawn Cemetery.
