    3. Hi, Enoch Bateman died in the Infirmary in what was Elyria or Carlyle September 6th, 1899 at age 71. He had lived on Woodruff Road Elyria in 1899. He was from England. Can anyone suggest where to look for his burial place? Thanks. Bud Burge

    3. Bud, Info that I am still abstracting on births, deaths & admissions at the Lorain County Infirmary, says that Enoch Bateman was buried in the "Elyria Cem." At the Elyria Public Library, you can check the Ridgelawn cem info in the looseleaf notebooks that was photocopied & compiled by the late attorney Howard Saddler. They have been there since about 1989 but were not always in the card catalog as they are now. Hope this helps. --- Bud Burge <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > Enoch Bateman died in the Infirmary in what was > Elyria or Carlyle September 6th, 1899 at age 71. 3. Not all tombstones lay flat on the ground. A lot of the old ones where upright slabs and only be obscure only by a big snow drift. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Meyers" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 7:36 AM Subject: Re: [OHLORAIN] Enoch Bateman Burial > Bud, > Info that I am still abstracting on births, deaths & > admissions at the Lorain County Infirmary, says that > Enoch Bateman was buried in the "Elyria Cem." > At the Elyria Public Library, you can check the > Ridgelawn cem info in the looseleaf notebooks that was > photocopied & compiled by the late attorney Howard > Saddler.
