Several years I asked if anyone had been successful at getting non-medical information from records for people who had resided/died at the Old Home for the Aged, which, I believe, is now the ELYRIA UNITED METHODIST VILLAGE at 807 WEST AVE, ELYRIA, Ohio 44035 . I never inquired myself, but am wondering again if any of these records have ever been archived anywhere or become available--I'm taking about records of lo-o-o-ng deceased people, like pre-1950s. Anyone, any information on this? Sarah
I don't know about the records, but I do recall, as a small child that there was a place on Murray Ridge Rd. around Infirmary Rd. that my Grandmother called the "Old Folks Home". I don't know if this might be anything that could help you with your research, but possibly others on the list can recall this "Home", too.
