    3. Hi All, This link, http://home.centurytel.net/lorgen/obits/Aobits.html , has obituaries of William Hanford/Henry, Hannah Porter Aiken, and Ira/Irad Aiken. Given the dates from the previous posts, William Hanford/Henry Aiken do seem to be the same person. 1907 was a bad year, he lost his Wife Hannah, then Son Irad and he died in November. The Lorain County Gen web Page, is great, by the way. My apologies for jumping in if this message is posted by the same Maureen who posted the obituaries. Bob Aiken Donna Edmondson <[email protected]> wrote: Hello Deb and Maureen, I, too, am descended from the Irad Aiken family of Amherst, Lorain Co., through Marietta, the daughter. Irad's wife was Indiana Brainard, also from Ct., and both are buried in the Cleveland St. Cemetery, Amherst, Oh. Donna. NatureGem wrote: Hi Maureen, Sounds like the exact same family. Those are the same names except I have William Henry instead of William Hanford (and possibly he went by Henry in some cases? Or had 2 or 3 names like some did). I also have additionally the two daughters Laura and Marietta and 2 unknown children who died young. Unless William Hanford was one of the two unknown children or another child born later? I would be curious to know who you have in your William Hanford's family because my William Henry married Hannah Porter and had Ira and Hattie. Do you have any pictures? Would love to hear what other info you have if you get a chance. Thanks! Can't connect exactly your Aikens, however there was an Irad Aiken, born 1792 in CT, moved to Amherst. Lorain County in 1863. He had 6 children, 3 sons, William Hanford, Charles, Noah B., and Edwin. I don;t have info on the boys other than Wiliam Hanford, but I suspect there is a connection. > Maureen > > ---- [email protected] wrote: > >Content-Type: text/plain > > > >OHLORAIN-D DigestVolume 05 : Issue 2 > > > >Today's Topics: > >#1 Genealogy Meeting Reminder [[email protected]] > >#2 Aiken, Akins, Russell 1800-1920 [Bob Aiken ] > >#3 Dighton REED lived in 1900 Rochest [Bonnie ] > > > >Administrivia: > >To unsubscribe from OHLORAIN-D, send a message to > > > >[email protected] > > > >that contains in the body of the message the command > > > >unsubscribe > > > >and no other text.
