Re: not finding marriage licenses, I'd like to share what I have have found: Once in a while, the woman was married previously and did not take her maiden name back after the divorce. So, the next marriage is NOT under her maiden name. Also, I was surprised at the number of people who were married in Angola, IN and the Summit/Portage county area in the 1900-1960 time period from Cleveland and the eastern part of Lorain Co.
