I picked up a book - year book type - at Jamies Flea Market the other day, entitled : "50 Years - The First Catholic Slovak Union of The USA" Inside face page states: "The Golden Jubilee Book. In commemoration of Fifty Years of Loyal Service. The Catholic Slovak Women of America. Published by The First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union 3756 Lee Road Cleveland, Ohio July 1942" Its in Slovakian apparently. There is a Xeroxed map of Cleveland's Calvary Cemetery with 2 locations marked on it. Also contain is some newspaper articles about John Hvasta's escape from behind the Iron Curtain. Also had a velum(?) membership application from 1913 or 43??? In Slovakian and a little English. There is water damage to it but it is usable. Loaded with pictures, names, etc. Yours for the price I paid for it - $1.00. I have no use for it, but thought of this list when I saw it, plus it was a bargain! E-mail me back if interested. Carl J.
