In researching my SQUIRE(S) ancestors, I found in Warrantee Bk G Pg 589 that Ezra Squiers was paid $300 by Richard B. Campbell for 40 acres from the west part of 60 acres heretofore conveyed by Herman Ely to Benjamin Baker from Lot #20 in Elyria, Lorian County, Ohio. He reserved the right to enter and take one half of all mines and minerals on said tract. 11 August 1835. According to the map of Elyria, Lot #20 was on Telegraph Rd., just around the corner from Ezra Squires' home on the next road west of Murray Ridge Rd.
