Some time ago I promised to send him a copy of a picture of McKinley School if I ever unearthed the booklet I have. Today, in a frenzy of cleaning out old stuff, I found the booklet. Now I need his address. Are you listening, Tom? Dawn Linden >> Hi Dawn, Sure am still on the list and enjoy reading about Lorain and Elyria. Yes, I remember that you mentioned that you had a booklet if you ever came across it. I am tickled pink that you found it. I had quite a time finding out what school it was that I attended as the old databank would not bring it to the terminal for me. Nancy Myers was such a good person to help me find the name of the school and even took pictures of the apartment house I lived in. She and her husband drove over to Elyria and took the pictures and sent them to me. That is above the call of duty. The list has been very helpful in giving me clues to that time of my life. I'm 85 now so my memory is not that good - however things pop into my mind (terminal) that I haven't thought of in years. My address is: Thomas E. Powell 37 Alpine Street Milford, NH 03055-4704

Hello, I've not said much on my family because I never had much to say, till now I have learned alot. My GGrandfather George Herman was a farmer in Litchfield for 20 years before coming to Elyria. In Elyria he was the caretaker of St. Mary's Cemetery for 10 years(1925-35) before he retired, 2 years later he passed away (1937) He was a member of St. Mary's Church and is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery. Names I am researching: Herman, Boyer, Standen, Johnson(If I ever find any), Sprague, Hicks, Axx, Arnold, Tarry....Fannie Mae Boyer is a puzzler also, a woman of many names, Tague, Halton, Nichols, and at death Ruminiski. She died in Lorain County, but I can't find a death certificate nor an obit. Ketchum , Dazey, Wack(Wasukanic) I had an Aunt Mary Herman who was engaged to be married in 1912 to a Ralph DICKERSON, she passed away about a week or two before she was to be married July 16, 1912. Doe any one know of a Ralph Dickerson? I would be curious to know alittle about him. Thanks, Penny

Notice you had a Murphy in your line, I purchased some pictures some time ago, and have a picture of a women. On back it says Murphy on the way to get her citizen ship papers. Would love to find family she belongs too. I estimate picture to be 1900 to 1920 not sure. You can see her clearly. Let me know if anyone wants a scan of her. Dee
Hi again everyone, SUCCESS! :) The URL for the publisher of the above mentioned book is <http://www.clossonpress.com>. I've received quite a few messages from people wanting to know if Ms. Teibel has done other surname-letters other than the 'H'-names. As far as I know, only the 'H' names have been done. I can add though, that she is working on the 'M' names now and is scheduled to do the 'S' names next. I believe she wants to do the entire alphabet of surnames. Colleen
