I will post my husband's surname list here first as his is probably more names than my own. CHENEY - from Naseby, England BLANCHETT - from Portsea, England STICKNEY - here in the early 1830's from CT, VT MOON - Clarissa MOON married Albin STICKNEY Also, his great-grandfather, Reuben CHENEY married Elizabeth BLANCHETT, daughter of Henry Howe BLANCHETT and Elizabeth READ. Henry's father, JOHN BLANCHETT also came to America probably cir 1845 or so. Elizabeth and Reuben lived in the area of Coldwater, Michigan. Reuben had 3 children from his 1st marriage. His first wife, Martha LOVEJOY of New York died in 1861 after giving birth to the 3rd child. He then married Elizabeth BLANCHETT here in Lorain County in Dec. 1862. They had 5 children including 2 sets of twins. Elizabeth died shortly after the 2nd set of twins was born. Charles Cheney was 2 years old at that time. Charles was sent to Avon, OH to be raised by his grandparents here. Probably the Blanchett family. Reuben then came to Lorain County in Oct of 1867 and married Matilda CHESTER BLANCHETT. Matilda was the widow of Charles BLANCHETT and the sister of William and Reuben CHESTER. I would like to find more on the Chester/Blanchett lines. Margaret

I am researching RAVENS, WALLACE, BROWN and VETTER in Lorraine Co. and ROTH and Wirth in Medina Co. The RAVENS family lived in Black River Township. In the 1860 census, the family consisted of Henry, Julia and children Adam and Rosetta. I have good information on Rosetta and Julia since then. I am seeking information on Henry's and Julia's background and information on Henry and Adam since 1860. Julia's second husband was William S. WALLACE. He was likely from Loraine county but I have no information on him. In the 1880 census, Julia and William lived in the town of Lorain in Black River Township. The Mary ROTH from Medina Co. Married John Gottlieb WIRTH in 1851. I am looking for background in John. Mary's second Husband was Jacob VETTER from Lorain Co.
Looking for any ONSTINE, RICE, WALKERs of Lorain County, Oh. Nancy D. NancysCrnr@aol.com
I am at a brick wall here and am looking for any help I can find. My ggg-grandparents were married in Lorain County on August 24, 1841. His name was Ethan Allen Wallace although most of the information I have on him shows that he usually went by the name of Allen Wallace. Her name was Phebe Janette Wallace. Family history says they were not related before marriage. So far I have not been able to get anywhere on finding out who their parents were. Census information indicates that Ethan was born about 1798 in Vermont and Phebe was born about 1822 in Ohio. I don't know when Ethan first came to Ohio but he fought in the War of 1812 and enlisted at Chillicothe, Ohio so I assume he was living in Ohio at that time. Any help will be appreciated Dave
