    1. [OHLORAIN] Marriage, 1921 -- KEIRNS / JONES
    2. Source: RICHLAND COUNTY LEADER (Bellville, Richland Co., OH): 01 July 1921, Vol. 2, No. 29 A quiet little wedding took place Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 in the St. Luke's Lutheran church of Mansfield, when Miss Leeta Florence JONES, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George E. JONES, was united in marriage with Orval Dewey KEIRNS of Elyria, by the Rev. Charles W. Cassell, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran church of Bellville. Miss Jones wore a dark blue suit with hat to match, and the ceremony was witnessed by Mrs. Jones, mother of the bride, and Mrs. Charles W. Cassel. Following the wedding the young couple left for Mr. Keirns' home in Columbus Grove, where they will visit until July 4, after which they will be at home at 518 North Street in Elyria.

    1. [OHLORAIN] Quarries
    2. NM Meyers
    3. The Lorain County Reporter, September 1898, ..............BREAKS THE RECORD........... The Elyria Stone Co., Mr. Charles T. Ely, manager, has again broken the record for raising large stone from their quarry hole at Grafton. A bridge is being built at Edgewater Park, Cleveland, and the con- tractor was obliged to furnish four cap stones for the four corners of tremendous size. He took the job on the supposition that he quarried and supplied the demand and consequently he would be released from his obligation. The county commissioners finally heard of the fame of the Grafton quarry. Each stone occupied 345 cubic feet and weighed 27 ton. No car could be found on the Big Four that would hold the stone but finally the Lake Shore Road furnished one and the stones were delivered one at a time. It will cost the contractor several hundred dollars to furnish machinery to handle the stones. --------------------------------------------------------------- Nancy M. 2. RE: Pomeroy Strongsville has a historical society -- don't know if you wanted more Pomeroy info, but here it is in case you do. Did you know that there was a Pomeroy family in Strongsville waaaaay back? When Strang bought the Pomeroy house and remodeled it into a restaurant in the late 1970's, he kept the family name on it. 2. Just an idea, but maybe take a small spade with you - but check with the cemetary caretaker first so he knows what you are doing -- that you are not trying to vandalize the stone.

    3. These maps include cemeteries, even a very small one in Sandusky County that doesn't show up on other maps. The pop-up ads (right in the middle of the screen!) are a little annoying, though. 2. If anyone is working on the line of Jacob COUSINS and wife Bertha BARTO, I would like to know more about his mother Susanah Ellet/Elliot Cousins, wife of Joshua Cousins. The COUSINS seem to have been both in CT, VT and Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties, OH. Bertha Barto Cousins died in Elyria 1854. Of course, I am seeking a tie in with my Elliotts. Sarah
