Ex: John & Mary (JONES) SMITH may appear but the data included in their history never shows up in the index. Many times there are secondary biographies of his ancestors, siblings, her ancestors, siblings, plus the "married into" families associated with a group.....even "business partners". Of course, the accuracy is always questionable since the people in it submitted their own biographies & then PAID/subscribed to have their lives included. Question: Has anyone ever completely indexed this entire work ? If NO, other than line-by-line data entry, can anyone suggest a good way to get this accomplished ? This data is probably NOT ever going to be available to the "computer" genealogists & is too valuable a research tool to ignore. I live in Gilbert AZ (SE Phoenix metro). If anyone near me is willing to act as my "reader", giving me the names as I type it in, I'll consider doing the entry work.... Susan Bidwell Williams slw02@sprynet.com. >> Susan, If the book was scanned into a word document it could easily be indexed. It would be easiest if the word document was imported into PageMaker which converts it into a book format and creates the index with page numbers. If you could get the pages scanned, I would be willing to get the document indexed and printed for you. I would do the scanning also but I would not be able to start for a couple of months. I have several other projects I am working on right now. Let me know if I can help you. Cheryl Hawley
