Connie, If your father was born in Dayton there is a possibility he could have been in a Children's home called Shawen Acres (I think that is the correct spelling). I don't recall it being connected with the Methodist Church through. It is no longer in existence but I am sure you could get information on it by contacting the genealogy librarian at the Montgomery County Public Library in Dayton. I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she is very helpful. She would know about the records, etc. There was also a Children's Home in Greene County which I believe was in Xenia, Oh. June
