Here's one reason I will never get finished with my family tree: history just arouses my curiosity and I "must know" all the interesting tidbits of history. So---- I was "browsing" through the Logan Co. cemetery inscriptions database today and came across the Piatt Cemetery in Monroe Twp. Since I have never been to Ohio and my husband has "selective amnesia" as regards his childhood years in Ohio, maybe one of you wonderful students of history could enlighten me about the name "Mac-a-cheek" and how William and John Piatt ended up with that middle name.
