What about birth and death numbers? <snip> The batch numbers listed above were for projects to extract marriage information from LDS Family History Library microfilms 0354836, 0354837, and 0354838 covering Logan County marriages 1818-1885 found in volumes A-G of the county marriage records. This data appears in the 1988 edition of the LDS International Genealogical Index which can be used as an index to Logan County marriages for the 1818-1885 time period. Many 19th century marriages in Ohio County records have been added to the IGI in this way so that it is a useful statewide index to search for Ohio marriage information. You can sometimes find that relative who was resident of one county who married in another where you had never thought to look. The IGI is available on microfiche at LDS Family History Centers as well as other larger libraries with genealogical collections. The marriages should also be available online at www.familysearch.org, although the last time I looked at that site a week or two ago, the new marriage search function did not yet appear to work correctly. The LDS Parish and Vital Records List also shows similar extraction projects for Logan County births, 1867-1908, and deaths 1867-1905, as well as marriages for 1885-1920, but indicates that information for these projects does not appear in the IGI. I suspect work on these have projects has never been completed. The Logan County Genealogical Society has been publishing early Logan County birth records in installments in Branches and Twigs, and the early birth and death records are also available on microfilm via interlibrary loan at LDS Family History Centers.
