Non-subscriber. A 1886 A.J.Holman Family Bible for the Garrett family came into the possession of my aunt, currently residing in Sun City, Az. The bible is inscribed "From mama. . .Christmas '86" The first entry indicates the marriage of Robert Clifton Garrett to Harriet Goddard Thompson in Logan, Ohio, on June 9th, 1885 by C.C. Hunt, Minister. There is a separate obituary for Mary J. Thompson who died in Zanesville, Ohio, January 15th, 1889. It is a very well-preserved book and we decided to attempt to contact the families before disposing of the bible. We could not find any research being done by any of these families. References are made to the births of Robert H. Garrett in Hocking County and John Neville Garrett in Meigs County. Any family member or researcher wishing to reclaim the bible can contact me,and I will make proper introductions to the present owner.
