Apologies to everyone for the smutty spam that made its way through to the OHLOGAN discussion list. The people at rootsweb.com have been working on some measures to prevent spam from being sent through to the various discussion lists which they host. I have seen cases where their efforts have worked, although that did not include this recent case. No doubt, it's impossible to be 100% effective in blocking all spam. One of the OHLOGAN subscribers suggested changing this list to a closed list wherein you must be a subscriber to actually post messages. That is something I can actually do, and it seems reasonable to me that if you have something to post on this list regarding genealogy in Logan County, Ohio, then you ought to be a subscriber to the list. So, I have adjusted the list profile in that way. Hopefully this might reduce the possibility of future spam messages. Again, sorry for the inappropriate messages.
