    3. I thought I might have the 1850 census for the Emberlins but I don't, I do have the Kanes, it is below. Also some other info on these families. The Essexes that married Kanes/Cains are grandchildren of my ancestor, Alexander Ramsey, through his daughter Cynthia and Joseph Essex. Another daughter of Alexander Ramsey, Rosanna, married Joseph Emberlin in Fayette or Ross County about 1821 and they moved to Indiana about 1830. Joseph is probably aa older brother or uncle to Henry.
