Hi Terry and List Mates, First, when we sent in our Roll Call names, I wasn't aware that one of my Mother's maternal uncles, Harry Jackson SMITH and his wife, Edith May Mort or Jones --my Mom always understood Aunt Edith was a Mort, one of her cousins says she was a Jones--lived in Logan Co. at least from 1919 to 1922. Their oldest child, Glenn Weber SMITH was born 25 Nov. 1919 in West Liberty, and their 2nd child Ruth Ann SMith was born in Jackson Center. By mid July, 1925, the family had moved back to Columbus Grove, Putnam Co., Ohio. Uncle Harry's parents were: Jackson SMITH, b. 20 June 1842 in Groveport, Franklin Co, Ohio. On 27 Nov 1864, he m. Hannah Elizabeth WOOD, b. 7 Nov. 1842 in Franklin Co., OH. They were married in Delaware Co., OH. Their first 3 children, Oliver Lee,1866; Flora May,1868; and Charles Pendleton, 1870, were all born in Groveport. The last 5 children--Hattie E, 1872; Margaret Ann, 1874; LULU MAUDE, 1976--my Grandmother--Clara H. 1881;Harry Jackson, 1883, and Lena Byrd, 1888 were all born in Columbus Grove, Putnam Co. Most of them are buried in Truro Cem. in Col. Grove. Terry, SOMEWHERE I have a locally produced small book about DeGraff, Ohio. It was very well done with quite a lot of info. I got it back about 10 yrs ago at the bank in DeGraff because my Mom's paternal side was RELYNOLDS/COOKSTON, and the COOKSTONS lived in DeGraff before going down to West Liberty (Union Twp). They originated in PA, went to Muskingum Co, then to Logan Co. Most of them are buried in Mt. Tabor Cem--just overthe line in Champaign Co., the Bellefontaine Cemetary, and I am told that my gggrandfather THOMAS COOKSTON'S wife,MARY CATHERINE STALEY is buried in the Philadelphia Lutheran Cemetary on the corner of T201 and T203 off of CR508 between West Liberty and DeGraff. I haven't yet found her gravestone there as many are in very bad shape and hard to read. As soon as I find my DeGraff book, I'll let you all know and send out what I can from it. sorry for such a lengthy note, but Smiths are so HARD to identify! Hope something here helps someone. BTW, I have a lot of photos. Good Luck all. Suz
