    1. Re: [OHLOGAN-L] Surnames-LEACH
    2. Hi, I'm searching for information on the Samuel LEACH family. My gg-grandmother was Margaret E. Leach [b. 9/9/1827, d. 4/20/1903] who was married on 11/27/1851 to Stephen W. LINE [b. 3/5/1826, d. 7/15/1905]. I have some information on her siblings, but nothing on her parents. Thanks, Kay Gud

    1. [OHLOGAN-L] Wake-Up Call to Use The OHLOGAN LIST
    2. Moore, Terry C.
    3. Hi Fellow List Members Maybe not appropriate to send this, but Let's Wake-Up and Get On-Line!!! I have been on this list for over 8 months and get about 10-20 emails per month, if that! If you want to see some action and see how beneficial a list can be , check out PAFAYETTE or PAYORK. I get more postings in one day than I get from OHLOGAN in a month! No complaints, but this is a useful tool, and we all need to use it, not abuse it, but you build a powerful research engine. One thing they do on these PA Lists, is a few times a year have a "ROLL CALL", wherein, everyone posts their Surname Quires (announced by the LIST Manager with Rules), as a reminder, and also as a notice to new subscribers. It's highly effective and is only for one week. Sorry for the Wake-Up, but I see what other LISTS have accomplished and I feel we are all missing out. Criticism, Welcomed. Terry Moore-Atlanta

Also that he worked in the round house for one of the railways there. Does anyone have access to records of those sorts and can do a look-up for me or steer me to a source? 1. [OHLOGAN-L] GUN/GUNN Cemetery/MOORE Burial
    2. Moore, Terry C.
    3. I am going to bounce this out there one more time. Anyone knowing about this family of GUN/GUNN please respond ( other than Robert B.) Searching for Tax/Census/Deed records of GUN or GUNN who lived in what is now Logan Co. (near Union/Liberty Twp.) around 1810. I have a record of a couple of my MOORE's that were reported to have been buried in a family burial plot located on GUNs property. I would eventually like to back track this to a township, range, section, etc. Terry Moore tmoore@bicron.com

    2. June Jacobs Jordan
    3. Connie, If your father was born in Dayton there is a possibility he could have been in a Children's home called Shawen Acres (I think that is the correct spelling). I don't recall it being connected with the Methodist Church through. It is no longer in existence but I am sure you could get information on it by contacting the genealogy librarian at the Montgomery County Public Library in Dayton. I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she is very helpful. She would know about the records, etc. There was also a Children's Home in Greene County which I believe was in Xenia, Oh. June

The Townend's lived in Springfield before 1921 and after and then moved to DeGraff, Ohio. Any hints as to where there may have been Children's homes - I think he may have been in a home, maybe Methodist? Connie Hurst
