Hello all, My mother's ancestors all came from Logan Co. OH. I am looking for the ancestors, descendants, and siblings of the following people: Clinton Corwin BUCHANAN (1841-1915) came from Guernsey Co. OH to Monroe Twp. abt 1864 and married 1865 Eliza Ann SMITH (1842-1885) daughter of Joseph SMITH (1823-1890) and Milbury RAGIN/REGAN/RAGAN (1824-1894). I believe Milbury's parents were Jose and Sarah RAGIN. Sarah married Adam STERLING after Jose died. Obediah WILLIAMS (1786VA-1852) and wife, Susannah SHORT (1790VA-1871) came to Monroe Twp. abt. 1814. Especially interested in their son, John WILLIAMS (1809- 1876) and wife, Mary Abigail SHORT (1811-1903), daughter of Henry SHORT (1787VA-1876) and Lydia WILLIAMS (1793VA-1882). David REA (1794VA-1868) came to Perry Twp. and married in 1820 Shady SKIDMORE (1800-1821) and in 1823 married Shady's sister, Ruth SKIDMORE (1806-1876), daughters of William SKIDMORE (1778-1854) and Mary RANDALL (1770-1853). David REA's grandparents were Robert REA and Rebecca HAINES. James STEWART (1777-1855) and wife, Mary DALLAS (1779-1862) came from Co. Tyrone, Ireland to McArthur Twp. in 1830. Great idea. I have never posted to this list before but its about time I did. I am searching for Phineas Corwin. All I know about him is that his wife's name was Christina. He had a son, Jacob, who was born in Logan Co. on Aug. 9, 1822. He belonged to the Disciple Church and married Lavina Arbegast on Apr. 10, 1848. Hi, I have a few questions about the first families of Logan County. I sent away for the application and not sure I received everything. I got an ancestor chart and a form that is numbered from 1 - 8 to show the different generations. I also received instructions, but there was a mention of an application to put list of documentation on. I don't have that. I was wondering if a Funeral program, the one the funeral home gives out at the funeral, is any kind of proof. I have my great grandfather's and it has his birth and death date on it. Also my mother was born in 1943 at home and does not have a birth certificate. Are there any records of her birth at the court house or the health department if she wasn't born in a hospital? Hello list, Could someone provide me with the correct name, address and phone number for "Plum Cemetery, outside of Lewistown". Looking for any info on John GOLDEN/GOULDEN who first appears on the Logan Co Tax List in 1827 and dies in Logan Co in 1839. Need death date and burial place. Also his wife's name and date of death.
