Below is the info I have on this family. Most of this came from census records and from a hand written family history written by my wife's mother Leota Mildred Dunlap. Joseph SANDERS was born on 1 Dec 1788 at , , England. He died on 7 Jan 1873 at , Licking County, Ohio. He was buried in 1873 in Utica North Cemetery, Washington Township, Licking County, Ohio. Lived in McKean Twp, Licking Co, OH. Joseph SANDERS and Elizabeth OLIVER were married about 1824. Son John was born ca 1825 per 1850 Federal Census. 1850 Federal Census, Ohio,Licking County, Eden Township: Joseph Sanders, m, w, 63, farmer, born in England Elizabeth, f, w, 53 John, m, w, 25 Elizabeth, f, w, 23 Mary Ann, f, w, 18 Sarah, f, w, 16 Margaret, f, w, 13 Marian, f, w, 12 Hannah, f, w, 11? 1860 Federal Census, Ohio:The Joseph Sanders houshold has not been found in Licking County. 1870 Federal Census, Ohio, Licking County, McKean Township: Joseph and Elizabeth were in the household of daughter Margaret and her husband, John Alsdorf, In that census their ages were listed as 80 and 70 respectively, which does not agree with gravestoen dates or prior censuses. The family immigrated from England between 1827 when Elizabeth was born and 1832 when Mary Ann was born in Ohio. Elizabeth OLIVER was born on 31 Jan 1795 at , , England. She died on 24 May 1890 at , Licking County, Ohio. She was buried in 1890 in Utica North Cemetery, Washington Township, Licking County, Ohio. Joseph SANDERS and Elizabeth OLIVER had the following children: 2 i. John SANDERS was born about 1825 at , , England. 3 ii. Elizabeth SANDERS, born about 1827, , , England; married Ruben RUNNELS. 4 iii. Mary Ann SANDERS, born about 1832, , Licking County, Ohio; married Smith KERRIMAN. 5 iv. Sarah SANDERS, born about 1834, , Licking County, Ohio; married James W. WILSON. 6 v. Margaret SANDERS, born about 1837, , Licking County, Ohio; married John ALSDORF. 7 vi. Mariah SANDERS, born about 1838, , Licking County, Ohio; married Banter RALSTON. 8 vii. Hannah Olive SANDERS, born on 28 Apr 1842, , Licking County, Ohio; married James Marshall DUNLAP, on 7 Jun 1865; died on 2 Oct 1928, Burlington Township, Licking County, Ohio. 9 viii. George SANDERS was born at , , England. Birth date is uncertain. George does not appear in the 1850 Federal Census. Either he was not born until after 1850, or he was the oldest child (born before 1825) and had left home before 1850. Leota Dunlap Lantz lists him first in the family of Joseph Sanders, implying that he is the eldest; however some of the other siblings she lists are not in the correct birth order based on the 1850 census ages.
