Please check the following information... The names Jakob and Gottlieb are repited in my family. The 3rd generation of my family emigrated from Switzerland in 1856 a few brothers and cousins came to Argentina...some others might traveled to the US. The Lastname Schär changed to Schaer when the dots where not available in typing mashines and then converted into Schäer, Schear, Schar during emigration process... also exist some declination like Schaerer, etc.I think we have some ancenstors in common (Please see below the 2nd generation) 1st generation (known up today): Bendicht Schaer, (??, BE - Switzerland) born appr. 1760/1770; 2nd generation (my Grand Grand Grand Grand Father) Jakob Schär ( Thunstetten, BE - Switzerland), born appr. 1800, x Maried to Barbara Leuenberger (Melchnau, BE - Switzerland); 3rd generation (my grand grand grand father) (Thunstetten, BE - Switzerland 1836), Andreas Schaer, 2nd marriage x Magdalena Schuerch (BE - Switzerland) ** 4th generation (my Grand Grand Father) (Bernstadt, Sta. (Thunstetten, BE, Switzerland) 3rd Son: Albert Schaer (Baradero, Buenos Aires, Argentina) (when Barbara Pauli died, he maried to Magdalena Scheurch) At the moment I am trying to check a lead I found where many names are repeated and they lived within the same area (Thunstetten y Gondiswil at Canton Bern Switzerland) the Schaer family is also mixed with the Leuenbergers and Schuerchs Basically are this lead includes 6 generations: 2 , Hans SCHAER 1566 and Peter SCHAER 1604 in Gondiswil; other 3 : Hans SCHAER 1633, Hans SCHAER 1665, Hans SCHAER 1697 and Anna SCHAER 1733 in Melchnau. (The last name ends with her. but she might have brothers maybe Jakob maybe Bendicht maybe Gottlieb Please keep in touch.
