Looking for the Ansel Hurlburt that may be the grandfather of Ansel Hurlburt Odell. Found Ansel Hurlburt b. 1750 Connecticut. Cound he be the grandfather of Ansel Hurlburt Odell b. 1800 Vermont? And if so, then who is the daughter/mother that connects the two? (And thus, would he be the cousin of Ansel Hurlburt b. Vermont 1796?) Would love to get past this brick wall!!Thanks in advance! You do not say where you "found" the Connecticut ?birth in 1750.? Are you familiar with the Barbour collection? This covers the vital records for the state up to about 1850.? Records in new England are kept by town, not by county, so you would need to know his location to find his birth, marriage and possibly death.?? But rather than going back and trying to come forward to make the link, you'll have?better luck doing it?the correct way -? backward in time from the known to the unknown.?
