His mother was Laura (Lora) Maud Gorsuch 1879-1969 (married to Albert Carey Moore), she's buried in Green Hill. Her father was John Edward Gorsuch, 1845-1942 (married to Dora Lewis). He is also buried in Green Hill & if I remember correctly, his obituary said that he worked as a caretaker in Green Hill after he retired & his wife had died. John Edward's father was Thomas Gorsuch, 9-13-1814/1-8-1886. He was married to Anna Kreiger & they are buried in Delaware County, Ohio. Thomas' father was David Gorsuch. I believe that he was born in 1778 & died in 1845. Some things that I have run across from Delaware County (old property records) make me wonder if the last name might also have been "Gossage". A "George Gossage" originally owned the land that David later owned. David passed the land to his sons in 1839. The documents that I have are copies from Mendenhall Virginia Lands of Military, the Delaware County Historical Society (I think) s! ent them to me.
