    3. Looking to share information about the REED family. William (1775 Md) and Nancy (Md) Reed moved to Licking County between 1801 and 1802. They died there, appearently on the same night, 1811. They had the following children: Mary Polly Reed 1794 (Isaiah Cramer) m March 14, 1816 Licking County, Ohio Nelson Reed 1796 (1 Jane Maxwel lm: August 02, 1821 Licking, Ohio, 2 Mary Cockrell m: 1852 probably Licking, Ohio) see below William, Jr. Reed 1796 Thomas Henry Barnsby Reed 1801(1 Jerusha Coffman) m October 14, 1822 Licking County, Ohio (2 Elminah McCormick) Child: Jerome Bonapart Reed (Sarah Elizabeth Davis) m: April 1866 John Reed 1802 Nelson and his son William Maxwell Reed migrated to Fulton County about 1852 from Licking County, Ohio. At somepoint (maybe just before the Civil War) they moved to Knox County where they stayed until about 1875 when they moved to Waverly, Lancaster, Nebraska Nelson REED (b 1796 Md) and wife Mary COCKRELL (b1810 Pa) Joseph REED b: Abt. 1835 Ohio Christina REED b: Abt. 1836 Ohio Florianna REED b: Abt. 1838 Ohio Catherine REED b: Abt. 1842 Ohio Frances M REED b: Abt. 1844 Ohio Nelson had been married in Licking County, Ohio first, to Jane MAXWELL by whom he had 6 daughters and 1 son. I know of only one daughter, Elizabeth 1832-1919 m. Robert Evans GAMES and stayed in Ohio. Nelson died somewhere in SE Illinois. Their son William Maxwell REED (1827-1926) is my ggggrandfather. He married Mary Ann SNARE in Licking County in 1852 and migrated to Fulton County with Nelson. William served in the Civil War B Company 103 Regiment, Illinois Volunteers from eithor Fulton or Knox County. By 1875 this family had migrated to Waverly, Lancaster County, Nebraska William and Mary Ann had the following children: Mahala (Samuel WALKER), Nora ((1)George L. Anderton (2) Jeffery Volney), William Dexter (Mary Elizabeth Kendrick, Otis (Lucy L Penn), Effie (Volney W Jeffery) Hulda (Elmer Matticks) The children (except Nora after the death of her husband) stayed in Nebraska.
