Hi Jim, does a Henry SHAFFER or his son, Frank Henry SHAFFER, show up in your line? Henry SHAFFER was listed in the 1850 Columbiana Co., OH census as single and living in a hotel. By 1854, he was married to Elizabeth CHANCE and had at least one child, Frank Henry. The SHAFFERs have been a mystery to me. Look forward to hearing from you.
