In 1933, in my grandfathers obituary, a daughter named May SKIDMORE was mentioned. The paper said she lived in Newark, Ohio. I know that she had at least one son, Norman SKIDMORE. May was born in Nottingham, England, in 1882, as May SIMMINS. I have checked the online cemetery listings and death records for Licking County, but I find no record of her or Norman. I have called all eleven Norman Skidmores found in the online people search and none are the right one. The 1910 census has May in Philadelphia, living alone, and not yet married. I have ordered the 1920 soundex for Ohio from a local FHC, but I am told there will be a delay.
