    1. Boucher Family - early 1800s

    3. I am researching the Boucher family that settled in Licking Co. in the early 1800s. I sent a look-up request several weeks ago to the "probate file book" volunteer listed on the Licking Co. webpage, but have not heard from them. Is there someone one this list who has access to the probate file listings? I am looking for a probate file that lists Boucher as the surname, given name unknown. I am hoping it will tell me the name of the father of Jacob, Nancy and Joseph Boucher. There may also have been another brother named John Boucher. Jacob was born 22 Sep 1796, Nancy was born in 1800, and Joseph Boucher was born about 1805. John may have been older than Jacob as he served in the War of 1812, after the family had moved to Ohio. Jacob and Nancy were supposedly born in Maryland, and Joseph in Pennsylvania. Nancy married John Barrick on 5 Jul 1815 in Licking Co. Before the 1830 census, she and John moved to Tazewell Co., IL. Jacob and Joseph followed, as Joseph appears on the 1840 Tazewell Co. census, and Jacob was buried there in 1858. Thanks, in advance, for any help or information on this family. I will gladly exchange information. Sincerely, Cheryl F. Luginbill timetraveler@apex2000.net
