I have rason to believe that my Rian family originated from Licking Co.,Ohio. I have been unable to find anything about them other than Jacob Rian marrried Sarah Hisey. This would have been in the mid 1800s. I believe Sarah Hisey was the daughter of Johnathan Hisey and Sarah Smoots. I would appreciate any information you may have on any of these families, especially the Rian family. Family lore says that the spelling of the name was changed due to a family argument but I have nothing to verify this. Thanks, AnNMe@aol.com
