Cort- Homer [as you may already know] is the name given to the town previously named Burlington. It is about 4 miles west of Utica in Burlington Twp., Licking Co. It's roughly 20 miles north of Newark, in which cast the "Advocate" would be the paper. However, Homer is so close to the Licking/Knox County line that it's only about 10-12 miles on north to Mt Vernon in Knox County. You might try asking on the Knox County web site for the paper name up there. Best of luck. -Bill Martin Denver, CO Cort Sims wrote: > > What is the name of the newspaper that would have published obituaries of > people who died in Homer, Licking County, Ohio in the 1880s? > Cort Sims > cortsims@msn.com > > ==== OHLICKIN Mailing List ==== > Welcome!
