In 1808, George McCreary (b.1752 in County Armagh, Ireland) moved his family from Ohio County, Virginia to Licking County, Ohio. His oldest daughter Mary (McCreary) Dunlap and her family also joined in the move. There was no census for 1810, but the 1820 census has George McCreary living in Burlington Township with two sons and five daughters. His wife was not counted (I believe Mary (McQuown) McCreary died between 1818 and 1820). Mary McCreary was listed as one of the original founders of the Presbyterian Church in Utica, Licking County, Ohio in 1818.
