In his later years he went blind, and lived with his son in or near Utica. At a a major Library, if you use a searh for Jesse Hughes, you should get a book title that you can request as a loan transfer. I can't remember the title, but it's a book you can't take out, and would have to view in a reading room. Elias is in it, also You should email me off list, as you are a distant relative.
