If you wait on "appropriate" subject lines, it is your loss. Personally, I don't judge a book by it's cover. As an old UNIX guru, I've seen email formats come and go, so it doesn't matter to me how it comes. You're lucky I don't send mail messages in all lower case without punctuation. Just don't expect me to answer right away. I read it all and I enjoy a good percentage of it, but I'm always a couple of days behind. Spend more time away from the computer, than on it.
