I have been on this list for awhile but have seen nothing on the list on these surnames. Any help will be appreciated. Samuel SMEDLEY married Caroline WHITEHEAD (or variations) in the early 1840's-probably in Licking County. They also lived in Allen County before moving to Illinois and then Missouri. If anyone has any information on these two people I would greatly appreciate it. Samuel was born in Williamstown, MA in 1815 or 1820 and later census records indicate that Caroline was born in Ohio, but I don't know where. They both died in Missouri in 1890 and 1891, respectively. The Thornley connection came through a marriage of Samuel and Caroline's oldest son, Richard. The only info I have is that D.M. THORNLEY was born in Ohio. His father was Reuben THORNLEY. Mother's name unknown. Any and all tidbits would be of a great help. Thanks.
