I do have some information on many Licking County Poundstones, photographs of gravesites, etc. I am presently focused on David Norman, b 1843 in Muskingum County, OH (my gg-grandfather). He fought with the 31st OVI and was injured in Chickamauga. I have been unable to confirm if Joseph and Jemima (Loar) Norman are in fact the parents of "my" David. I have found an 1850 census that documents (Joseph and Jemima, George, David, John, James, Elizabeth and Sarah). David is the correct age of my ancester and his military records state that he was born in Muskingum County. Additionally, I have a newspaper article in 1853 that orders that Muskingum County Infirmary take charge of the whole family (with the exception of David) for they were too sick and unable care for themselves. I have been unable to verify if this family died and David survived. I first find what I believe to by "my" David in an 1860 census in Madison Twnshp, Licking County as a farmhand with the family of John Montgomery (his age at the time was 17). From that point on, I have his Civil War Military records, census reports and city directories with information regarding the family. David married Angeline Poundstone and had 6 children (Annie, Oren, Edith, Eva, Edward, Effie). David died in 1879. Any assistance with the NORMAN or LOAR lines that could help me verify this family as being connected with David would be greatly appreciated. OR information for the Muskingum/Zanesville Infirmary might be of assistance as well. THANKS :)
