I have much information from Licking County in the form of census reports, marriage, death/obits, cemetery photographs and city directories. I am specifically looking for information regarding DAVID NORMAN (b. 1843 in Muskingum County) married to ANGELINE POUNDSTONE (b 1841) on March 21, 1867. Born to that union were six children: Annie (b. 7 Feb 1868) Oren (b. 24 Feb 1870) Edith (b. 6 Mar 1872) Eva Bell (b. 1874) Edward (b. 17 Jan 1877) Effie (b. 24 Feb 1878) I have military records for David. He fought with the 31st OVI and was injured in the Battle of Chickamauga; injuries that eventually resulted in an early death. The first record I have of David is an 1860 Census report that lists him with the John Montgomery family as a farmhand. He was 17 years of age. I have found a David Norman born in the 1843 (Muskingum County) to a JOSEPH and JEMIMA (LOAR) NORMAN. However, I have been unable to confirm this line. In addition to the 1850 Census report that lists this family (Joseph, Jemima, George, David, John, James, Elizabeth and Sarah), I have found a newspaper article listed in the Advocate (12 JUL 1853) that orders the Muskingum County Infirmary take charge of Joseph, Jemima, George, John, James, Elizabeth and Sarah, for they are sick and unable to care for themselves. This article makes no mention of a David. I have been unable to find out if this family died or recovered. Therefore any information regarding this family or any other NORMAN family of Muskingum that fits David’s profile or infirmary record information would be of a great assistance. Anyone needing information for the POUNDSTONE, KREAGER and/or NORMAN lines, I’d be happy to share. Thanks, Kat
