RYASON, RYERSON , RIASON, RYESON, RYSON RODER, ROEDER, ROTER, ROHTER FRIEND and yes, there are probably a few more! Interested in sharing research and information on the family of JOHN RYASON Sr., b. abt 1756 in New Jersey, Revolutionary War service, (Easton) Northamton Co., PA in 1782, had one child (Samuel Ryason) in Hunterdon County, New Jersey abt 1787, had one child (John RYASON Jr.) in Wheeling, Ohio Co., West Virginia abt 1801, another son (James RYASON) born in Pickaway Co.,Ohio in 1803, another son (Isaac RYASON) born in Ross County, Ohio in 1808, Wife, SARAH RODER possibly from Northampton or Lehigh County, PA, died abt. 1810 probably in Ross or Pickaway Co., Ohio, married Mrs. MARGARET FRIEND abt 1811, and had another son (Reson RYASON), born abt 1812 who settled in Hocking Co., Ohio. John RYASON Sr. died in 1814. He was said to have " studied for the ministry and was ordained in the Episcopal Church", possibly the Methodist Episcopal Church.
