Am looking for information on the family of Alexander CROSBY. I have found Alexander in an index of the 1830 Licking Co census. My line goes through his daughter Catherine who was born in Licking Co. How many of his other children were born there, I do not know. Also, in the 1830 census, is a John CROSBY. I do not know his relationship to Alexander at this time. An Alexander and a John are found in the 1820 census of Mason Co., KY. A letter from a descendant of Alexander tells of his moving from Mason Co., to Ohio, so I assume this is he. I have a pretty good trace of Alexander's family except for the details. What I do not have is any trace of a second CROSBY line. This line is for one Samuel J Crosby, b. in Mason Co. He married Catherine later in Shelby Co., IN. The letter mentioned before says that he was "a distant relative of Catherine". If anyone has information on either of these CROSBY lines, it would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has access to the 1830 Licking Co census, could you pass on to me the '1' and '0' count in that census for Alexander (p. 404, Newark Twp) and John (p. 430, Burling(?) Twp.)?
