I am hoping someone will have information on the following family. Possibly, some of their children were married in this county. The family of Thomas and Hope were listed in the 1850 census living in Brownsville and 1870 census living in Bowling Green Township, Newark Post Office. RYALL, Thomas, born about 1817 in New Jersey. In 1850, his occupation was that of a moulder. RYALL, Hope, born about 1823 in New Jersey Children from this marriage: Martha (Mattie), born about 1844 in New Jersey George W., born about 1849 in Ohio Joseph, also known as Daniel, born about 1850 in Ohio Eliza (or Lydia) born about 1853 in Ohio Thomas, born about 1855 in Ohio James, born about 1859 in Ohio Ellen, born about 1866 in Ohio Martha (Mattie) had a son living with this family in 1870. His name was Madison DAVIS, born about 1866. I do not know the name of Martha's husband. Hope was listed as a widow in the 1890 Special Schedule living in New Madrid County, Missouri (presumably staying with her son, George W. RYALL).
