Surnames: Crawmer, Whitcomb, Packman, Dickensheets, Riley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DZB.2ACI/2117.2.1.2 Message Board Post: I am working on a Crawmer line and would like to share information with others working on the same line. I have a Henry Crawmer (Crumer, Crommer, Cruner, Cromer) born about 1787 and died after 1870 and immigrated from Nova Scotia. He was married to Elizabeth and living in Huntington Township, Ross County, Ohio from 1840 to 1870 according to the Federal Census. He had 6 children and three were maned Lucinda, Ira and Mary A. who was blind. My husband is a descendant of Lucinda. Lucinda was born about 1817 and she was born in New York and lived most of her married life in Huntington Township, Ross County, Ohio and she married James B. Whitcomb. James Whitcomb was a Civil War Soldier with the 63rd. Ohio Volunteer Infantry and died 2/21/1864 at Cmp Chase Ohil in the General Hospital of Typhoid and Pneumonia. Children of Lucinda and James B. were: Mary Ann, Alfred, Eliza, Martha, Lucy and Violet. (Violet's daughter Clara Bell is my husband's grandmother). Violet married Joseph Catlet Packman. I have pictures of this family and James in his Civil War Uniform. Violet and Joseph had a daughter Clara Belle Packman who married Joseph Dickensheets. Their daughter was Thelma Pauline Dickensheets married to Russel Riley and parents of my husband, James Waldon Riley. I look forward to hearing from others. Claudia Redmond Riley
