If you are in the Newark, Ohio area on July 16, 2005 you are invited to attend and bring a friend to the "First Annual SAR-DAR-CAR ~ Pal Wow" which is being planned by Mr. Keith H. Kaufman, President of the Rufus Putnam Chapter, Ohio Society of the Sons of American Revolution. Registration will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. on July 16 at the Dawes Arboretum Shelter House. The Licking County Genealogical Society has been invited to attend along with patriotic groups Son of American Revolution, Daughters of American Revolution, Children of American Revolution, Colonial Dames and area Historical Societies. <> Purpose: To promote better cooperation among our groups. Attendees are encouraged but not required to wear period attire. There will be a "Peoples Choice" competition for those wearing "Period Attire". Dr. John J. Evans, Licking County Genealogical Society will present a talk about early Newark family history and history of the Licking County Genealogical Society. There will also be speakers from other groups.
