Dear Mr. Davis, My husband's grandmother was a Henderson from Coshocton Co., Ohio, which is next door to Licking Co., so it is conceivable that Licking Co. Hendersons are related to Coshocton Co. Hendersons. I have not done a lot of Henderson genealogy research but have some in my database. The only Roy I have was a son of John R. and Laura Beresford Henderson. I show two other sons, Lewis and Alfred. I do not have date of birth for any of these people, but I do show a date of birth for John R. Henderson's sister, Martha Belle Henderson. She was born in 1880 and died 1966, which probably means John R.'s dob was between then and 1900, which means he could have had a son born in 1931. I looked online for a Lewis Henderson and found one at the following address: Lewis Henderson 614-771-8532 3720 Seattle Slew Dr Hilliard, OH 430260000 (this address is Franklin Co., other, which also abuts Licking Co.) I also found an Alfred Henderson at the following address: Alfred P Henderson 937-836-4684 141 Candle Ct Englewood, OH 453222741 (Englewood is near Dayton, Ohio, in Montgomery Co., which is about a 2 hour drive from here. So not close, but not too awfully far.) I don't know if any of this can help you or not. There are several Henderson's listed in the Licking County phone book which I would be happy to scan and send to you if it would help. Sincerely, Sharon Randall Wiggins PS My father was a WWII Navy veteran and was always very proud of his service. -----Original Message----- From: ohlickin-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ohlickin-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of SEPT2702@aol.com Sent: Monday, December 17, 2007 8:40 PM To: OHLICKIN@rootsweb.com Subject: [OHLICKIN] Lost Soldier's from Licking Co, Ohio I am searching for these two family's of a soldier's who was killed in the Korea War. When they entered service they gave Licking County, Ohio as there home of record. Soldier: ROY ALLEN HENDERSON DOB December 1, 1931. Caucasian DOL July 27, 1950/ MIA Soldier: EARL VICTOR SIEGMUND DOB August 14, 1930. Caucasian DOL July 10, 1950. KIA When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. There are 51 families in Ohio that have not been located. When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (76 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency. Any questions or comments , Please contact me at hgdavis@bellsouth.net I will be grateful for any assistance in locating these family's.
