Ohio, married 26 Mar 1829, Catherine Moody, b.28 Oct 1809, Muskingum Co. Ohio (poss. dau. or sister of William H. Moody of Muskingum Co. Ohio) they migrated to Licking Co. Ohio, where they appear on p. 326 of 1850 Census, then migrated to Keokuk Co. Iowa, where William Ford died 7 Jan 1870, just before death of eldest son. Catherine Moody Ford migrated with youngest dau. and died 23 Jan 1885 in Oskaloosa, Mashaka Co. Iowa. Children of William and Catherine Moody Ford: (on estate, heir papers of Keokuk Co. Iowa) 1. Ucirus/Ucyrus/Cyrus Ford b. 1829 Muskingum Co. Ohio, m. Amelia Rabb (dau. of Bowman Rabb and Sarah Squires of Licking Co. Ohio) he died 25 Feb 1870, before his father's estate was probated, Amelia migrated with her young family to Scott Co. Iowa. (My line) 2. Mary A. Ford b. 1833 Muskingum Co. Ohio, m. James L./M. Overturf. 3. Chauncey Ford b. 1835 Licking Co. Ohio (may have died young) 4. Rachel Ford b. 1837 Licking Co. Ohio poss. wife of Samuel McFarland Jr. son of Samuel McFarland of Keokuk Co. Iowa. 5. Thomas F. Ford b. 16 Mar. 1839 Licking Co. Ohio, m. 15 Oct 1852, Keokuk Co. Iowa, Susan Clubb. 6. Catherine Jane "Jennie" Ford b. 1841 Licking Co. Ohio, m. _____Obston 7. Abigail Ford b. 1843 Licking Co. Ohio, m. William Henry Kitterman, adopted son John McCLintock, and with dau. Mabel, migrated to Wapello Co. Iowa. 8. Anna "Anney" O. Ford b. 1846 Licking Co. Ohio m. ____Cesana 9. Unknown Ford female, (oral histories state there were 7 daus. and 3 sons.) 10. Rosetta Ford b. 1851 Licking Co. Ohio, m. George W. Halferty, took care of mother in later years, migrated to Oscaloosa, Mashaka Co. Ohio. Submitter note: Seeking descendants with more Moody information, place of origin, have researched Fords to Mass. (including Mary Rowlandson who was captured by Indians and wrote a book about it that was published in England 1682.)Willing to share.
