There is a Singleton Watkins in the 1840 Thorn Township, Perry County, Ohio census. I didn't find a record of his marriage in Perry County, but if she was from Licking County, that could be where they were married. It was common to be married in or near the wife's home. Didn't find a Margaret Watkins in the 1850 Ohio census that was married to Singleton.
