    1. Re: [OHLICKIN] Newark burials
    2. Molly G. McLaughlin
    3. Not all people who die in Newark, Licking County, are buried in Cedar Hill or Wilson Cemetery. If you were a practicing Catholic, you are likely buried in Mt. Cavalry on SR 13 South, or St. Joseph's on Rt. 79 North going towards Mt. Vernon. Lots of people who died in Newark are buried in cemeteries where their ancestors were buried, in family plots which could be in cemeteries throughout the county, anywhere in the city or the county. Burial in Newark is probably a loose term. Many people are buried in Newark Memorial gardens, which is adjacent to the Wilson Cemetery, also on SR 79, North. Many are buried in family cemeteries, etc. You would have to look up the obituary to find where the person was buried to be accurate. Newark Advocate is online for a very, very large number of years. You should be able to find this answer somewhere. Even many Newark residents were buried out of the county where spouses families, their own ancestors, etc. are buried. I'm looking for the location, especially, of these cemeteries: Rocky Fork, Wilson in Washington Tp, 2 in Martinsburg (I'll be able to find them), Perryton, Hanover, & Southlawn (Utica?). Is there a Northlawn in Utica? I know some of these are near the Knox-Licking county line and may be just inside Knox. I appreciate you going to the trouble of looking up more info for me.
